Robert (Bob) Bryan Mentzer, 43, of Ephrata, entered into rest at his home on Saturday, January 16, 2010.
Born in Lancaster to John J. and Dawn M. (Stauffer) Mentzer, he was the devoted husband of Rebecca (LeGar) Mentzer and loving father to their son Ian Robert. Bob and Becca were married on August 6, 2005.
Bob graduated from Lampeter-Strasburg High School in 1984 and earned his BS in Finance from Temple University where he was a brother of Pi Lambda Phi. He was a certified arborist and worked as a Landscape Account Manager at Tomlinson Bomberger Lawn Care and Landscape. Bob loved his job and was fulfilled by his close relationships with customers and co-workers.
He touched many people and enjoyed golf and rooting for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
In addition to his wife, parents and son Ian Robert, Bob is survived by two brothers: Mark W., married to Cathy (Witmer) Mentzer of New Providence and John M. Mentzer of Willow Street.
A viewing will be held from 4 to 7:30 PM on Wednesday, January 20 at the Stumptown Mennonite Church, 2813 Stumptown Road, Bird-in-Hand. Funeral services will be held at 7:30 PM with Pastor Mark W. Mentzer officiating. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
